On Target (plus a giveaway)

I’ve often kept a close eye on the Target designer collaborations in America.  Last year they teamed up with Missoni and I could only watch from the sidelines while everyone went crazy over this Jessica Alba endorsed, too-cool-for-school bicycle.

I confess, sometimes I’ve secretly pined for the products not yet stocked on our own department shelves “We are not a penal colony, where is OUR Kitchenaid?!” but I’ve started to discover some fairly cool things about our own home-grown stores.

I recently attended a Target event to learn more about the expansion of their fragrance lines.  No longer merely the home of the celebrity fragrance (that’s a big hooray from me) you can now expect to find more high end perfumes, including one of my favourites, Viktor & Rolf’s Flower Bomb.

Also in the pipeline is the Ksubi for kids collection, available online from December 1st.  There are a pair of ancient, now way-too-tight jeans in my closet dating back from when Ksubi was Tsubi, so I’m really looking forward to checking that out.

This week I also succumbed to the Collette Dinnigan/Australian Ballet Company/Target collaboration.  I had an entire post planned about whether surrendering to a ballerina dress was anti-feminist in any way but then I got over my ridiculous self and just embraced the tulle. EMBRACE THE TULLE!  I think it has a catchy ring myself and my daughter likes it so what can I say.

Now for the good news.  I have one Target gift voucher, valued at $40 to giveaway.  To be in the running, simply leave me a comment below answering the following question:

Lady Gaga originally claimed her celebrity fragrance would smell like blood and semen (thankfully it doesn’t).  If you had your own celebrity fragrance, what would it smell like?  Most hilarious answer wins.

ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED

Entries close MONDAY 3rd December at 6pm after which time all comments will be closed.  Entries are available to Australian residents only and please ensure you have provided a correct email address so I can contact you to arrange delivery.  You will have 48 hours to claim your prize before a new winner will be announced.

Disclaimer: I attended a Target blogging event and have been fairly compensated for my time.  As per usual all opinions are my own, and FYI: I paid for the ballerina dress with my own cold, hard, cash.
